I am after any info or pic's of a HB Torana set up with the side draft Stromberg carby and extractors.
I have already looked in my Scientific Publications Torana workshop manual for HB and found nothing also have found nothing in my GMH Torana Workshop manual for HB.
I have everthing to do the conversion just need to see how it is set up with linkages, brackets, vacum pipes, fuel line.
I believe that this set up was on the 70 series although mine is an S I picked all the bits and pieces cheap and would like to set it up on my beast.
Any help would be greatly apreciated.
cheers

I'll post some pics of the single side draft stromberg setup on the weekend. I've got the single down draft zenith setup on mine at the moment but will be upgrading to the brabham setup once my motor has been rebuilt. Extractors for the HB are fairly rare, I've got some info and small pics of them so you could have them made but I've been quoted $700 to make a set in stainless (unless you've allready got some?). The cheapest option is to go with the twin outlet cast iron headers from the 70 series motors. I'll check my HB manuals, I think the 69 version may go into more detail in the carby section.

I have a side draft Stromberg with inlet mainifold and all the linkages, hoses and brackets to fit it, just need to see were the accelerator bracket go's on the firewall and if my fuel and vacum lines are long enough to reach new carby or will I have to make new ones up.
I also would like to see how the accelerator linkages are set up.
Mine is a 1968 S two door with a single Zenith carby set up on it too.
It's a one owner car with 90000 mls on the clock, body has very small amount of rust painted Mayan Gold. All the bright work is in very good nic for it's age.
Still has all the original glass from factory in very good nic with no scratches.
Interior is Pampus Fawn and Prairie Fawn also in very good nic for it's age with only the crash pad showing some cracks and fading from the sun.
Seats are all in very good nic and have had covers on them all there life so back seat is like brand new.
Runs and drives very good for 38 year old car all I have done is replace the clutch.
Model HB 411 then stamped on left hand inner wheelarch inside engine bay is A000175 with a P under the 5 is this the body number?
I also have picked up a standard cast header and two into one pipe set up with the side draft carby and would also like to fit it to my car I have a very good exhaust maker over here so I was hoping to show him a pic of how it looked on the car other wise he can just use what I have and copy it.
I have also picked up a complete motor rebuilt 10 years ago but never used for a carton.
Plus good old e-bay has given me two "nos" tail lights, cluch cable, timing cover, hand brack cable, front indicator lenses and spare clutch set up.
Like you I am also starting to hunt things down and grabing them, this stuff is getting hard to find over here.
Look foward to seeing your pic's and hopfully finding some info on this set up.
I can e-mail you some picks of my HB if you like.
Cheers Rob

That info has given me a better idea how it go's.
The last pic is the set up I have with the cast headers.
Linkage diagram is spot on because all I got was a heap of rods and brackets now I can make out what go's were.
Cheers Rob
