How have you done it, mounted the reel on the top mounting bolt which is near the B-pillar?
Or is it better to have the reel down at floor level?
I'd be interested in seeing some photos.
I reckon it might look weird with a reel up next to the B-pillar on that area just below the rear (backseat) windows.
Your comments / photos are welcome..
Thanks!

hey mate i put some in mine a little while ago, the real has to go on the floor if you try and mount it on the top mounting bolt it will get in the way of the back of the seat. it's not a hard job just a little bit of fiddling to get the real to sit perfctly square so it operates properly. i don't have any pics but if you need them let me know and i'll take some for you.Hey guys, I'm about to go buy some new retractable seat belts for my 2-door LC.

With the mount points on the LC being further forward, the reel may fit just in front of the seat but not sure.

Hi All
Bumping this thread as I need to fit retractables to my 2 door LC. I am hoping to bolt straight in to the existing mounts.
I have poured over the APV website and I think I need:
1 x K4425 bracket kit or K4416 to mount the front retractor reels and anchors 2 x K7698 2.6m (short) with 190mm buckle (front) 2 x K1510 2.6m (Short) with 190mm buckle (rear on parcel shelf) 1 x K1981 (std) 1.2 190mm buckle
If anyone as used the APV ones does the above look right?
Or if different ones were used please advise models (and Make if they are different)
I looked at Hemco but they have told me you cant piggy back their front buckle anchors on one bolt on the tunnel (like the standard factory ones fix). I dont want to modify the bolt the tunnel or floor to provide separate anchor points.
This is a Hail Mary question but has any had retractable reels fitted the factory belts for the four corners? I bought new reco belts and buckles last year and in an ideal world, if I can fit reels to the 4 outboard belts I would be extatic.
Thanks in advance for any advice offered.
Cheers
Nando

I’m away at the moment and only have this photo on my phone. Seatbelt Solutions in WA provided my belts - all 5. My engjneer wants 4 corners to be retractable. Centre rear is lap only.
Back seat lower mounts use all factory mounts.
Back retractors have new spreader plates mounted inboard about 20mm. My engineer was happy for them to be glued in place with sika automotive adhesive.
Front centres are mounted to original hole and are material not wire stalk. Seatbelt Solutions advised Wire Stalk can only be installed using new spreader plates - 1 per buckle. My engineer said he was ok with wire stalks to the one floor point - or wire stalks fitted to seat bases if changing seats (ie some Recaro’s). So speak to your engineer…but Seatbelts Solutions know the AS NZ standards inside out - so I was taking their advice.
My front retractable have slightly narrowed spreader plates glued at the junction of the B pillar and inner rear quarter/inside door top if you like. I installed a new spreader plate as close to the face of the back seat as possible, and mounted the fixed end of the belt to the original floor mount. An angled spacer ensures the retractor sits square. They retract really well. My engineer was a bit concerned about the “trip hazard” created by the bulk of the retractor, but when I showed him photos of the original mount of the belt and it anchoring further back, he agreed the trip hazard already existed.
I think they look neat enough. If you were REALLY fussy, Seatbelt Solutions have an under dash mounting option that requires a welded in slot so the belt can pass through the dash. I could see the same being possible for the fronts and mounting the retractor inside the rear door card.
There would be quite a bit of work and fiddling but would look very clean and completely eliminate a trip hazard.
Hope that helps

Thanks Adam, I have been emailing back and forth with Seatbelt Solutions in WA over the last few days, extremely, helpful. What I am actually going to do is send them my non retractable outboard belts and they will use my bucket and tongues (which I bought reconditioned last year) and they will convert them to retractable.
My engineer has spoke to them and is happy to use the original locating bolts. Just waiting for a formal quote ( I sent them a scope spec of what I want) and then Ill kick it off.
THanks for all your advice.
