I noticed on a set of UC rear doors there is no opening for the rear ash trays? Was this deleted on UC's? Or is the rear ash tray just an SL/R thing?

At a guess I think the later cars had the intrusion bars which prevents the installation of the ashtray into the door.

Even the LH with opels in em had trays in doors,UC had a tray in rear of console,I think it was just what they did
at the time, either way if you ashed ur smoke in an LH or a UC and missed the tray the hot end ended up on the carpet, only
difrence is you might have put a burn mark on the trim on an LH before the hot end hit the carpet.

I hope not, because I've got a real good set of UC doors to put on my LH already stripped.... I was just going to cut the hole for the ashtray and glue in the plastic shroud.... Now you've got me worried....

Just checked it out.... The ashtray has plenty of room despite the intrusion bar..... :D:D:D
