Yes, apparently Tom Naughton Drove the Eastside Chrysler E49 in the 1972 Touring car championship and the 1972 Hardie Ferodo 500.
The #33 car looks to have a different, longer name on the door. So probably is Tom Naughton

So isn’t that what the OP is asking? He knows the car was one of theirs, but which one?
I thought you blokes could see a name on the doors of the car in question..
Post #10, I placed a red box around the name on the door.

Jim McKeown
I should have read the descriptions for the pictures.
Well looks like both Jim McKeown and Tom Naughton raced that Charger.
Unfortunately the Log Book for 1972 is a replacement, it is not the original book that would have been issued in 1971.
All the race entries for 1972 are probably Tom Naughton.

Correct which one is the car in the log book?
Last pages of that Log Book should say ( at least) who's car it was
It does East Side Chrysler in Chadstone

The race was on the 16/04/72 and the log book records the damage as happening on the 15/04/72.
Damaged in practice? and looks like Tom Naughton did not compete in the 4th round at Sandown.
It appears Jim McKeown was driving an Alfa GTV 2000 in the 1972 championship.

I reckon it is the same car, same owner (Eastside Chrysler), different drivers, different racing numbers. The rego plate KZR-585 indicates the car was registered around the same time in September 1971 as the new HDT CK XU1's (KZR-545 & KZR-565).

Tom Naughton was a regular contributor to Racing Car News reporting on Victorian events at the time.

Apparently Jim McKeown and Norm Beechey co-drove a Yellow R/T E49 in the 1971 Hardie Ferodo 500.
The car in this pic is a replica.
