Hi There
I have an LC with a 308 in it. The engine mounts appear to be either HQ V8 or LH/LX V8. Would the original K Frame towers that the mounts bolt to have been modified in any way to fit the V8 engine mounts or do they bolt straight on? Its an old conversion, done in 2000.

No they don’t have to b modified at all….hq and lx bolt straight up but I think the latter sits the engine a little higher.can you provide some photos of your mounts..what seems to b the problem..

I am going through a re-engineering process, long story, and the engineer wants me to get the welds certified (they are 20+ years old.
The oringal report says the engine mounts are mounted on the standard trunnions on the K Frame so my assumption is these haven't been modified. I have googled K frame pics and the mounting tower looks standard.
