Hi guys,
I've got a friend who needs a gearbox cross member for his late 73 LJ. The correct one to suit his car looks the same as what was used in LH and LX Torana's. It's quite a bit bigger than what was used in earlier LC and LJ's. The 73 LJ cross member is part number 2829934 does anyone know if this is the same part number as used in later model Torana's?

The spacings between the bolts to the chassis rails are 752 left to right and 143 front to back if someone could measure this on a LH/LX cross member.

If anyone has a suitable cross member in good condition available could you please let me know too.

Thanks
JD

LH 6cyl manual transmission support Pt # 9928585. The LH/LX support will be longer than LJ.

Thanks Dave. I'd wondered if the LH version might be carried over from the LJ and possibly cheaper than a LJ cross member since LJ Torana parts seem to be overpriced these days.

I think the LH cross member will fit , test fitted a engine in my LJ a couple of years back and I'm sure a LH cross member was used
