g'day all 

fitting a 6.2 ls3 into a dodge pickup 

problem i've run into is the aircon commodore compressor 

have been told that i can use the compressor 

but then been told by my sparky no you can't 

 

any body got any info on this

If I remember correctly they are variable pitch/speed rather than on/off. So probably won't work unless you have all the VF sensors and controls for it which potentially are not in the VF ECU. If I remember correctly, when I was looking at fitting an LS3 or LSA into a Nissan or Toyota, Marks 4x4 had kits to replace the compressor with an earlier one. This was for clearance but potentially also because of the control.
