LX Wheel Cylinder Push Rod Length

Hi All, Could someone tell me the length of the push rods on the rear wheel cylinder LX V8 1977 I just changed the linings and the wheel cylinders and it keeps popping the seal out of the left hand side. Right hand is fine. I have tried 3 Cylinders and it does the same thing and yes the adjustment is tight. These are 42mm long. Any help would be appreciated.
