[v6 torana]

Hello To All

 

The mighty UC SL Torana had a Deluxe Package Option which included a tinted band laminated windscreen, tinted side and rear glass, intermittent windscreen wiper control, AM radio / cassette tape player, cloth seat inserts, full instrument cluster and front and rear bumper over riders.

 

Can anyone confirm if the tinted side and rear glass were factory tinted glass (option AO1) or tint film applied ?

I think that DELUXE was on Sunbird as well as Torana. I had one, it had a small hit and was written off. Bought it from the wreckers for next to nothing and it came with bonnet, front valance, bar and one guard off another car in the same Opaline Blue. I bought another rusty UC and swapped the 3.3 engine, tailshaft, exhaust and diff over, just had to move the MC6 box back and cut the tunnel to suit.
Pretty sure the glass was just the Antisun aircon glass.

I had some green glass from a UC. It wasn’t a tint film.

Yes, the tinted side & rear glass on UC Torana Deluxe was A01 tinted glass, not tinted film.

I believe that the Deluxe pack on the Torana differed to the one on the Sunbird. The Sunbird Deluxe didn't gain the tinted side & rear glass.

Possibly not Terry, I can't remember if the one I had did or didn't. But I do remember seeing UC's with the aircon Antisun glass more than I did in LX, always wondered why.
