The Harvey Ag School had a cleanout and I managed to pick up a 202, a 3.3, and a 186. The first two were on engine stands with radiators and a small control panel to start them. The 186 was lying outside in the grass and I thought there could be some salvageable parts in it. $500 for the lot.
The 202 and 3.3 hadn't been started in years and the red motor was missing the starter motor. The blue motor just needed a set of leads, and after a quick initial timing I poured a bit of fuel into the two barrel Holley and it fired up straight away.
They both have the forward dipstick holes through the sump, and although the 202 has it sealed up, the blue motor still has a hole through to the sump at the rear hole. The red motor is also a QL, so I would have thought that would have come from a HZ Holden and therefore should have the rear hole???
The 186 ended up being a boat anchor.
