Try 200 odd cars
![]()
Tim
Hey Tim, our Toranas are not odd
Mate, I can't wait and meeting our forummers will be great
Gary (LC69GTR) is coming up from Melbourne today and we will travel up on Friday
On the way back on Monday we are planning to go via Katoomba and Bathurst and will be calling in to the old Catalina race track and of course Mount Panorama and the Motor Museum.
Will then travel the Olympic Way through Blayney, Cowra, Young and finally to my home town of Cootamundra.
The Olympic Way then goes on down to Wagga and further on comes out onto the Hume
Anyone wanting to tag along are welcome and on reaching my place can drop in for a break with tea, coffee etc.
They may like to peruse my Brock/Torana/GMH collection
Does anyone know the turn off at Katoomba for the Catalina track ?
Regards .......................... Barry

Will we hit 200 cars??? My money is closer to 250!! Sounds alot?? Not when you think that we did have 52 enter on the day and over the last three days, the Treasurer and myself have been taking a huge amount of calls reference entering on the day. We will see on Sunday..
Those that are coming early over the weekend, I can tell you that the "little" cruise into Newcastle, will be huge!!! We are getting interest about that as well as Toranafest!!
Answer to Chris' question, set up is from 7.00-7.30am. I would suggest getting there early to beat the rush of cars around 8.30 - 9.00am. Plus it's good to see some of the cars drive in..
anyway, must go.... very busy...
cheers
Mick

morisset is about 45 minutes from newcastle foreshore. Its right off the syd-newcastle freeway.
so its not right around the corner from toranafest, but its a nice pleasant drive down the old pacific highway (the road we are going along to toranafest)

We have a few locals coming up with us (4LJs, 1LH) should be leaving about 6.45ish from long jetty (our workshop)
Which doyalson servo?
We head out through north entrance, and out past budgewoi and up the old pacific highway.
What car are you bringing up?

And we should be there early enough I would think.
We come out after the doylo servo.
We go straight through the toukley roundabout (central coast highway) and turn onto elizabeth bay drive before we go through budgewoi.
Better place to meet may be the elizabeth bay fish and chip shop?

Ok, Going to call up some places tomorrow for accomodation! Hopefully all goes well! Its the idea of 200-250 of the generals finest in one spot that gets me a little bit excited! LOL
Matt try and stay in the motel where we are all staying.
Half the fun last year was staying in the motel with all the other torana lovers, and everyone was so welcoming.
dont know if there are any rooms available, but i think it would be worth it.
By the way its not a once in a lifetime event, we should all try and make it an annual event!
This will be my third Toranafest and it gets better every time I go.

The car has yet to have a full detail and all the alloy polished etc etc. sigh....
No spoiler fitted as yet

Speakers still being installed in the console.

As it stands the car cant go anywhere! This is what I call too close for comfort. I should have my feet up by now waiting for Friday morning when we head off.

Do I need to bring my toolkit again Howard
It'll be with me anyway! hehehe
I'll be cruising the monaro up.... yeah yeah i know.. it's not a torry but tough luck! (Shame i cant get a grass parking spot like you blokes though!
See you all at Thornleigh I Guess!
