Well I just clicked the other day that I hadn't posted anything on here for a while about Goldie. So since my last post a lot has happened. The panel beating has been done. The engine has been rebuilt and it is now at the painters.

I have a lot more photos of the build... But they are all a lot higher resolution than the sure will allow to upload. So I'll have to figure that one out. I've been making lots of videos and putting them in tik tok.

So here are a couple of the engine and when I said goodbye as it left for the painters.

I think if you send a photo to yourself in Messenger it will reduce the resolution???

I have found Facebook the simplest way to resize pics to post here.

I make a post to myself only with the original pic, then save that image to use here.

Nobody on Facebook but you will see the post.

I then delete the post anyway.

Takes all of about 10 seconds to do.

Cheers

Rob

And here are a few engine pictures. It's the original engine. I could have stick it under the bench and used a Modern engine. But I thought where is the fun in that.

So it got the full check and work over to make sure there were no issues. Then she got stuffed full of nice new parts. Roller rockers, screw in studs, heads ported, nice cam etc etc etc. I'm really keen to see it on the dyno!

Was the engine number machined off?

LOL.... No!.. I was most worried about that. I even went into the machine shop when the work was being done just to stress the importance of this. So they set up the heads offset in the machine so the edge of the planer did not touch the number. Although the main important bit was I didn't want them to touch was the HT part of the stamp, because as you may or may not know over here the engine numbers are not recorded against the car like in OZ, so the number itself does not really mean to much. Unlike in OZ where the numbers are recorded and important. I only learnt this recently as I asked someone why you guys in OZ kept covering the engine numbers in photos etc.

Checked in on the old girl at the workshop... She's coming along nicely. And I'm told I'll have it back before Christmas!... I can't wait!
