Hi.
I know it's a long shot. But does any one recognize the plus and wire in the photo? It looks brown, but I'm sure it's not the ones for the back of the instrument cluster.
(I brought this as a project car... Already disassembled, otherwise i would have labeled things as I took them off.)
It looks familiar, but I just can't place it. And yes i have looked at the wiring diagram, but I can't seem to find the answer there.
Thanks I'm advance.

Does this come out of the harness near the main engine connector ? It could be the solenoid wire for the Trimatic kickdown.

Hi.
Thanks, but I've got the Trimatic solenoid wire sorted.

I think tacho.  On cars without the sports dash this just sat tucked in behind the big main plug. The yellow wire from the main plug provides power to the coil (I think).  The dark brown wire certainly heads over to the left side of the engine.  I will have a look at mine in a couple of hours.

I have the same wire on my LH and 95% sure its the tacho but mine is not wired up because of a electric dizzy

Stick a multi-meter on the brown dash wire to check for continuity
