HI Morgan that would be great if you have plenty of ads from the era,   look them up and hopefully  you could  shed some light on this subject,   If you go back to post 232 it clearly shows an old ad about LDN 028 which states that the colour is arctic white,  The problem is that the story goes that holden built 3 proto GTRs and higher people that worked at holden say that there were 6 protos 

lets see where this finnishes.

And a question to you is your saying there are 6 GTR protypes made?

My belief is there was 3 only of which 2 are well known 

1 Pink one 

2 Orange one

HI Morgan posts 232 and 233 i totally agree with you, i believe that there was only 3 protos, as for the white gtr i knew a guy in the 70s who was a dentist fitted false teeth, who claimed that his gtr was arctic white, with a 308 fitted by GMH,  I will try and find some photos of the gtr  as for the 6 gtrs by memory i think i may have the  6 vin nos that was given to me many years ago, by a well known person

Ok this car LDN028 Was a GTR only forget about the XU1 stuff on the add.

Yes, the car was, White And the owner was a  internal employee.

My records show the car was white then sprayed Red 

ALJ 0283##

JL 127067 engine no.

As i have a photo of a CK with the Number plates on it LCK186 it must be you?

What is the connection with the username? Do you know the owner?

Your Ck is Amethyst ? A Great colour well done. 

I Know a bloke who was looking for one in that colour in the western suburbs but havent spoken to him for some time.

 

There a few in that colour hopefully you resto it soon.

Leo left GMH in 1972. He didn’t come for a few years, first job back was to add those yucky LX SS stripes and do the HX Sandman styling. One of his last jobs was the HQ GTS utility that someone bastardised into the Ewe’t while he was overseas. So if he was playing LJ it would have only been early in LJ.
