HI the lj gtr lime green was around the feb 72 era and painted maroon same colour as the LE monaros , i do remember also reading about this car leo was talking about it. i cant remember which article it was, as he was talking about the promo toranas etc etc

I doubt it'd be a red metallic as per the LE, GMH didn't have anything lime it. Maybe a solid colour. I have the tags somewhere of a styling clinic HX Premier sedan painted in a trial metallic red.
August 1972 was the end of Leo's first stint at GMH.

I would say it is a shame it has a Powerglide and nine inch in it. At least one of the prototypes had the relocated fuel cap.

May be my old memory...but were the factory V8 fuel caps a bit higher in the C pillar?
From my old memory the filler caps on Joe's Lone O'ranger V8 GTR were high enough to be just below the rear parcel shelf but not so high as to look like the car is wearing ear muffs.
That's a F#rd fuel cap on that silver LJ.

then came back to Vic 11/7/72 LEY7XX Rego plated with a motor Prefix QT a V8 motor
i love the history on these Dual filler cars
